Recipient: Mrs. M. Mcdonald
[n.d.]Dear Mrs. M -
I will enjoy very much going with you & Mary H - But is it not right raw for two ladies of yr. strengths & prudence to wander by the brook such a day as this? I suppose you want me to take care of you. So I will be ready, & if you do not come will understand it is too cold to-day. It will make no difference to me - I will take a little walk as I do every morning. I was going to send the moss from the wood I promised Mrs. H - & avail myself of yr. messenger.
