The Lee Family Digital Archive is the largest online source for primary source materials concerning the Lee family of Virginia. It contains published and unpublished items, some well known to historians, others that are rare or have never before been put online. We are always looking for new letters, diaries, and books to add to our website. Do you have a rare item that you would like to donate or share with us? If so, please contact our curator, Colin Woodward, about how you can contribute to this historic project.

Brig. Gen Jno. B. Floyd

Commanding &c

Meadow Bluff

Genl

Gen Lee directs me to say that the accompanying dispatches were forwarded to your camp this morning by the usual road (turnpike); that the messenger ret’d saying it was impossible to get to Fraziers in consequence of the overflow of the meadow about one mile this side of that point: he now sends another courier by the Old State road to learn whether communication can be had with you by that route, so that you could send any assistance that might be required here.

Respectfully,

Your Obt. Servant,

W. H. Taylor

A.A.A.G.
