My dear Bonaparte
I have just recd & read a review of the Memoir on the U.S. Arty. The memoir itself I have not seen, but I think you will be able to get at its spirit if not its merits from the pages of the reviewer.
If you would like to read it, please return it to me as early as convenient, as it has been loaned to me, with a request that it be returned. We are progressing with the measles & I think our invalids are better today, at least more comfortable.
With our best regards to Mrs. B--I remain very truly yours
R E Lee
