US Military Academy West Point. N.Y. 8 Sept: 1852



On the night of the 5th inst:, about 10. P.M. Cadet R. H. Lee left his quarters in Barrack without permission, & has not since returned. I have advised his father of the circumstances, & given him all the information I possess on the subject, a copy of my letter to him is herewith transmitted.
