is an inhabitant of Westmoreland County in the State Virginia. That he is a man of good character, and is engaged by his industrious neighbours to collect and tally Cotton cards.

                And it is requested that he be allowed to pursue his Calling without let or hindrance, fear or molestation, in the markets of Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Massachusetts.

                Given under our hand this Tenth Day of May, One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Seven, at the City of Baltimore in Maryland.
