The 11th June 1788




The misfortune happened to me[1] last Evening in having my mill gates carried of, Oblidges me to write you, Informing you unless you will be so Oblidging to pay me the corn due from Colo. Turner’s Estate. I expect I shall be oblidged to Sell some of my property for money to purchase corn with, unless I can get the 10 Barls. due from the Estate. This I believe you wou’d think had as well as myself. Especially as I paid for the barely [sic] for Mr. Turner, which is 10 years age, as you wd. See by my acct. as well as the book kept by me for him. Therefore hope you will Consider the matter & send me an order by my miller on Mr. Owens for the Corn, Especially as it is but a small Quantity.
