Know all men by these presents that we William Wyatt and John Warren are held and firmly bound unto James Monroe Esquire Governor of the commonwealth of Virginia in the sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars to which payment well and truly to be made to our said Governor this successors for the use of the commonwealth we bind ourselves our and each of our heirs executors & administrators Pointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our sels and dated this 4 day of January 1802

The condition of this obligation is such that whereas the above bound William Wyatt hath obtained a license to keep an ordinary at his house in the said County if therefore the said Wm Wyatt shall constantly find and provide in his said ordinary good Wholesome and cleanly lodgings and diet for travellers and stablidge fodder and provender on pasturage and provender as the season shall require for their horses for and During the term of one year from the day of the date of these presents and from thence until the next court to be held for the said County of Charlotte and shall not suffer any lawful gaming in his house nor on the sabbath day suffer any person to tipple and Drink more than is necessary then the above obligation to be Void else to remain in full force
