My dear Ned,

            You are about to start in life with a home of your own, & a wife of your choice. I hope that on taken possession of your new home, the first morning or evening of your residence, you will call y^r little family together, wife & servants, & begin your new career in life by family prayer. I send your here with a little volume of family prayer. God has said “He that honoreth me I will honor.” Begin aright & the habit you will find it easy to keep up. Wishing you every happiness that may be good for you.
