D Sir

            If you are seriously disposed to sell your negroes, I think I can give you such landed security, as will partly satisfy you. I mean land of the first quality and production.

            I will purchase, the whole and will pay you annually 2,000 dollars on interest. I intend to go to Alexandria soon, and will call to see you and obtain your answer.
