Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Simpson of the County of Westmd, and state of Virga, for & in consideration of the natural love & affectionate which I have & bear unto my Son Thomas & also for other good causes & Considerations me thereunto moving, have given & granted & by these presents do give grant & confirm unto the said Thomas Simpson five Negroes to wit. Terry Naico Stephen Polly & Bill & their future increase to have and to hold all & Singular the said Thomas Simpson his heirs Exors. & assigns & to his own proper use & uses forever and I the said Joseph Simpson all & singular the aforesaid five Negroes & their increase to the said Thos. Simpson his heirs & against all persons do warrant & forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof I have hereunto let my hand & affixed my seal this 12th day of Sepr 1795
