Greenwood 30 June ‘63
I have recd dear M. your letter from Richmond announcing Mildreds arrival, & that of the 21st from Hickory Hill. I am glad you found F__ doing well & all happy there. Tell Mildred I am much obliged to her for her letter, which I will answer when I can. I grieve that I cannot see her, but I trust the time will Come yet. I saw in Smithfield Some of her schoolmates in Winchester Miss Fanny Mc__ in __. All inquired kindly after her & sent much love. I hope you will get to the Hot. Perhaps you can take Rob with you, or rather he can take you. Give much love to F, Chass, the girls & all at H. H. All must remember us in their prayers. I think Constantly of you & pray for your welfare & happiness. It is doubtful whether this gets through. Therefore I say nothing more.
Truly &c
