The Lee Family Digital Archive is the largest online source for primary source materials concerning the Lee family of Virginia. It contains published and unpublished items, some well known to historians, others that are rare or have never before been put online. We are always looking for new letters, diaries, and books to add to our website. Do you have a rare item that you would like to donate or share with us? If so, please contact our curator, Colin Woodward, about how you can contribute to this historic project.

My dear Mary

Major Cox has sent me some very nice shirts so it will be unnecessary for you to have any knit. Please give him the accompg letter. If there is any error in my count of the price paid for them please rectify it. I have no intention at present of visiting Richmond & therefore do not know when I shall have the pleasure of seeing you. I am glad Florence is well & hope they are all happy. Is Lewis with her. I saw Rob the other day. He & F were well.

Give love to every body

Very affy

R E Lee
