I have also received a letter from my friend & Countryman – Dr Antisell of Washington City – enquiring whether one of the New Professorships in the Washington College was to be on Agricultural Chemistry or Geology – Dr Antisell is a highly educated gentleman, a distinguished chemist and geologist – For many years, prior to the War, he occupied a responsible position as a chemist in the Department of the Interior in Washington – He is now anxious to make his home in Virginia – Accept General my cordial wishes for your future welfare and happiness – Very faithfully
