We are always on the lookout for additional Lee family and extended Lee family manuscripts, texts, and other records to add to our archive so that our history stands open to future generations. Letters, diaries, deeds, wills, other commercial and legal documents—all such records provide essential clues to the past.

It is through archival records that researchers are able to study and understand much about our history. When you donate records in your possession, you contribute to society’s collective effort to remember in all of its messy detail and nuance what happened . The Jessie Ball duPont Memorial Library at Stratford Hall Historic Preserve provides a secure, controlled space to ensure the long-term preservation of valuable archival material. It also provides research access to the contents of those records for future users.
